REMEMBRANCE  DAY  SERVICE

                On Sunday, 14th November, 2021 at 2:00p.m., a Service will be held at Club de Recreio in commemoration of those members of the Portuguese Community who gave their lives in the 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 Wars.

                Details of the ceremony are given below.

                Due to COVID 19 Government Restrictions Members must register by Monday 8th November 2021 with their respective Club Offices to attend the Reception. No Walk Ins or guests will be allowed.

                Members are kindly requested to be at the Club no later than 1:55p.m.  No parking will be allowed in the Upper Car Park until 2:45pm and the Club driveway will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:50p.m. until the end of the Service.

 

 

ORDER  OF  CEREMONY

  1. 1:55p.m.      Members of the Club Lusitano, Club de Recreio, Socorros Mutuos Association and spouses attending the ceremony will take up their positions.

  2. 2:00p.m.      Rev. Father will arrive.

  3. 2:10p.m.      Rev. Father will read the Religious Prayer.

  4. Silent Remembrance.

  5. Father will offer a Benediction.

  6. Wreaths will be laid for:

  • Club de Recreio
  • Club Lusitano
  • Socorros Mutuos Association
  • Portuguese Community Education & Welfare Foundation
  • Old Comrades Portuguese Coys, H.K.V.D.C.
  • Hong Kong Prisoners of War Association
  • Relatives and Friends

 

THE FOLLOWING WILL APPLY:

  1. NO PARKING ON THE UPPER CAR PARK UNTIL 2:45P.M.

  2.  ALL GAMES, INDOOR & OUTDOOR, TO STOP FROM 1:50P.M. TO 2:45P.M. 

  1. KITCHEN CATERING WILL STOP FROM 1:30P.M. TO 2:30P.M. 

  1. NO VEHICLAR TRAFFIC FROM 1:50PM UNTIL THE SERVICE IS CONCLUDED.
